How do I transfer my portfolio to Lakeman Financial?
We take care of all the paperwork to move over existing accounts and tie up loose ends. Working with your existing custodians, we aim to ensure a smooth transition. We may recommend changes to your portfolio to improve its risk/return characteristics. We will try to incorporate existing managers and positions where appropriate and are likely to implement the changes over time so as to minimize any disruption and tax consequences to the portfolio.
How are fees determined?
Each client’s fees are determined individually and are based on a couple different factors: assets under advisement and services selected. When a new client relationship begins, we clearly explain what the fees will be, how they will be charged, when they will be charged, etc.
How often should I meet with my advisor?
Lakeman Financial has an open door policy. Many of our clients meet quarterly and some clients find it sufficient to meet once a year. Remember, you are always just a phone call away whenever something relating to your financial future is on your mind.
Is there a minimum investment?

How do I set up an appointment?
If you are being referred to us, we will set up a meeting right away. If you are just learning about us, we will first talk with you over the phone to make sure we are the right fit.
